    • 13 May 2017: Do you remember yesterday? Times does fly. Exactly 40 years ago Casablanca Records released Donna Summer’s fifth album, the masterpiece including such disco classics as LOVE’S UNKIND and I REMEMBER YESTERDAY, a best selling LP all over the world. What made this record so special? Captivating and highly inventive arrangements, beautiful melodies and Donna’s enchanting and chameleon-like voice: super sweet (BACK IN LOVE AGAIN and the title-track), aggressive (BLACK LADY), melancholically sexy (TAKE ME), warmly romantic (CAN’T WE JUST SIT DOWN). And rounding off an album that was paying tribute to popular music’s past decades, the most revolutionary and futuristic song of the Summer/Moroder/Bellotte team (and 70s pop in general): I FEEL LOVE. On this important 40th Anniversary, let’s listen to I REMEMBER YESTERDAY again and make it (re)discover to those who don’t know it. Time flies, but good music never fades away, and it can go straight to the heart today just like it did in the Spring/Summer of 1977… I REMEMBER YESTERDAY (Mastered for iTunes), containing an alternate vocal take of CAN’T WE JUST SIT DOWN, is available in all iTunes stores.
